Hi,

I have a question about the speed of TROAD.
My pc is working with Windows XP, a Celeron CPU 2.00GHz and 512 MB RAM
Memory.
I first had only 256 MB RAM, and the game was almost in slowmotion
then, so I thought putting in another 256 MB RAM would help, but it
didn't.
Can anybody help me out here??
I have the game for a while now and I really would like to be able to
play it now 🙂)
But please, in simple terms if you please, my english isn't bad, but
technically will be a bit more difficult.
Thanks in advance.

Elly.

You have enough processor and memory, but don't state what video card or
chip you have. That will be problem anyway.

You're right, I forgot to mention those, sorry.
Videocard is NVidia GeForce FX 5200.
What do you mean by chip??

Elly.

The FX5200 is where your trouble is. Even though it's an Nvidia 'FX',
it's the low end of that series. FX5900 would be quite playable on your
system I think.

By chip I meant chipset, as some computers come with graphics chipsets
built onboard.
Not an expansion card.

Thanks, although I am not happy with that.
It means I will have to buy a new one, and I do not want to keep
asking my new bopyfriend for everything, which means I will have to
save up a bit first.
But thanks for helping me out here.

Try turning off some features, like shadows, go to lower resolution.
These will help.

Wow, this is technical, hihi, I have no idea if I have that, but I
will try to find out.
Btw, would it help somewhat if I would update the videocardchip??

You update videocardchip by new videocard :) You update videochip on
motherboard with new card or new motherboard. I'm not helping much 🙁

Okay, I will try that.
I do want a new videocard though someday, but for the time being I
will try these things, hope it helps a little 🙂
Thanks.

Alright, I understand what you mean 🙂
For now I will just have to do with what I have, and when I can I will
buy a new videocard, thanks for helping me 🙂
