Question about SSD and HDD saving

Hey everybody, I just would like to know how I would go about saving all my items on my HDD and not my SSD, because it doesn't always give me an option to choose where I want to save stuff to. (Ex. When I downloaded steam, it put it on my SSD and not my HDD so now all my games are being downloaded on my SSD.) So, if anyone would know how to make the save get changed to my HDD and not my SSD, that would be great! (Also, if anyone would know how to move the steam to my HDD so I can download some more games, that would also be appreciated.)
Edit: Windows 8.1 is on my SSD if that changes anything.

You will have to manually drag the files over if you do install it on SSD. There is probably a program that tells your comptuter to save those to SSD, but I would recommed reading reviews before you install anything.

Some programs are coded to allow you to specify the download or install directory.
Others are coded to default to drive windows is on. If the program does not have any options to change the directory then you will just have to manually move the files over.
