This might be a weird question.

But if a Windows is downloaded on an SSD, and the game isn't, does it still affect the performance?
Or does the game have to be downloaded on the SSD to affect performance?

My laptop has a pretty <Mod Edit> HDD, and when playing games like rust its almost unplayable since its constantly loading the map which pretty much freezes my frames all the time, so a portable SSD will fix this, right? just asking to make sure.
