Hello, I want to change my stock CPU Fan, I have a stock Intel FAN I want to put a Hyper 212x or a Hyper 103 ( While we're at it, which do you recommend ? I have a i7 6700k ) But my real question is, do I have to change the mounting brackets of the CPU Fan that are on the other side of the motherboard,or will these do fine ?

Solution
All the stock bracket has to be removed from the front and back. What case do you have and see if it has the motherboard plate setup for removing the back plate with taking the motherboard out. Most new cases have the hole behind the CPU on the motherboard plate. Just remove the right side panel to see.
For both of those yes you have change the mounting. I suggest the CM212 evo if your case is big enough to support the taller cooler. Else get the Cryorig M9i. You also have to clean the top of the CPU with rubbing alcoholl to clean the old thermal paste off.

Nooo this is so horrible, I have to take everything out, I think my case does not open on the other side. But I'm curious, why do I have to, does it risk bending the motherboard because the original one is too weak to support the weight ?

EDIT: Also, I just realized I might have been talking about some thing else, I was referring to the metal bracket on the back of the motherboard, not about the one above the CPU.

I don't have that, my case is a mATX, retail stock, I guess my 2 options are either see if I can remove the right side of the case, or extract the whole motherboard and re-install everything.
