Question Question about the 3 x 8 pin adapter to 16 pin connecter for an RTX 4080

I saw in the 4090 videos(Gamer's Nexus and Jay's Two Cents) that using 3 out of the 4 power connectors to 16 pin adapter and the gpu worked fine when not exceeding 100% power draw, could the same apply to the 4080- using only 2 x 8 pin pcie connectors to the 16 pin adapter and the gpu still function and can game on it, if it doesn't exceed 320w or so?

If the adapter comes with 3 X 8 pin then that is what I would use.

Well you can try it, ether it will power on or it wont. When the 4090 used 3/4 plugs it powered on, when it used 2/4 plugs it would not power on.
