Question about the cooler

Using a liquid cooler, the h100. My desktop is currently in my computer desk and was wondering if I should take the computer out so it'll be cooler. The h100 cooler blows hot air out on top of the case whenever I'm gaming. Problem is there's only like 2 1/2 inches of space for the hot air on top. So whenever I'm gaming and I put my hand on top of the computer. i feel a bunch of air hot coming out. I was wondering would it be better If i just take the computer out of the computer desk so it'll have more breathing space at least for the air coming out on top of the case. Thanks in advance.

The difference is my desktop is much bigger so the air coming out on top only has like 2 1/2 inches of breathing space.

Might run a little cooler if you take it out.
