I bought an H80i GT to go with my new i7-6700k and LGA1151 motherboard, and i'm not sure if something is wrong with it or not. I have it set up the exact way they tell you to on their website. So at idle the CPU runs at about 35-40C idle and low load and under load it goes to about 60C. I wanted to know if that is normal. Also when it goes under load the Corsair logo goes red and I was wondering if that was telling me it was too hot or if it under too much load (I haven't messed around with any RGB settings in Corsair Link, also I dont even have the usb header for it to work with the software connected.). A note is that I bought it refurbished from Fry's Electronics. Any help is appreciated!

My system specs are:
GPU: EVGA SC GTX 770 x2
CPU: i7-6700k
Motherboard: Asrock Z170 LGA1151
Case: NZXT H440
RAM: G-Skill Ripjaw DDR4 16gb

Just keep monitoring your temps to see what they are at. If they aren't going past 65-70C then your PC issues are definitely not from overheating. You can always reapply the thermal paste. And I think by default the cooler will change colors based on temp. 60-65C is nothing to worry about.

Have you overclocked the cpu?? Also that sounds about right for CPU temps. Some of those lower single fan liquid AIO coolers arent that much better then air cooling like a Hyper 212 evo. Those temps are totally fine though.

Just make sure you applied the thermal paste right on the cpu. If you used the stock thermal paste that came on the H80i; you could try taking it off with rubbing alcohol and replacing it with something better. But it MIGHT be like a 2c difference; not worth the work in my book

Thats what I thought but I mainly am playing overwatch and when im playing the temps will get to 60-65C but over time the game audio will cut out and I will get stuttering and sometimes my whole computer will freeze and I was wondering if it was due the temps or something with my computer. This happens while the led in the logo is red so I think it means something.
