Question about the sythe infinity cooler

If you want, can you take off the fan and put another one on the cooler thats a faster fan? If so, can it just be a regular 120mm case fan?

yes sir. i just got my infinity. the fan doesnt come attached, the give you clips that do it.

the fan is made by scythe, but i dont believe it is specificaly designed for the infinity.

any 120mm by 25mm should be fine (most fans are this size). if you want one of the 120 by 30(something) like the hudge delta fans, then im not sure the clip would reach.

you could always attach it via wiretie or something if you did have a monster fan

Thanks, I plan on getting a sythe in a week and I am wondering how much better a job the sythe would be if I used a silverstone FM121 instead of the stock fan on the sythe. Would you have any idea?
Also I see you have an e6400, how does the sythe cool that baby?

If you want a huge delta fan with it you could make your own wire frame!
Just cut come fence wire and youre all good to go, rubber bands should work too.

right now im at 2.6x vcore @ 3.2ghz. temps are 39 idle 53 load in tat

Not so sure about rubber bands...
they get brittle over time...
hate to have the fan just drop a few months from now...
