This would perform much better and has a good upgrade path. The CPU is bang for buck and outperforms the FX6300 at stock clocks. You can OC to 4.2 with the stock cooler to get a pretty damn good budget CPU! Check out the toms hardware review they did on it. You can easily upgrade to a newer i5 with the 97 motherboard. R9 280 is a brilliant card still and will max out anything at 1080p.
