Question about TRIM

Hello, I am going to be upgrading to an SSD and I know that it supports TRIM but I will be transferring all of my files including the OS from my HDD using a SSD upgrade kit, I was wondering if TRIM will be enabled when I transfer the files over to the SSD. One other thing, I know I need to change my BIOS SATA setting to AHCI and I am going to be doing that before I plug in the new SSD so will the SSD be set to AHCI also?

As long as it's not in RAID, TRIM will function. Also, SSD will operate in AHCI, so you need to change set the BIOS to AHCI. The SSD will automatically work with AHCI.
