I just don't need the armor. It

I agree, my current character is my first but I'm sure NOT Last
character to wear little or no armor. I created her as my first Pure
Mage, however she's slowly evolved into more of a Mage Stealth Assassin
type character. She has almost no Security, Armor, Blocking, Long Blade
or Blunt weapon skills. Yet she's almost impossible to kill in
Toe-to-Toe combat thanks to her many CE clothing and other items, and
her emergency supply of multi-purpose (to save weight) high quality
potions... Yes, she does wear the "Boots of Blinding Speed" to speed
Sneaking and Travel in general, however I don't consider boots to be out
of character for someone traveling into wilderness areas. Granted it
wasn't until recently that I found out here, that due to a game bug, a
character needs to wear at least one armor item for their Unarmored
skill to properly protect them. Which removed any remaining guilt about
my character wearing an armor item (boots)...
All in all, I've actually enjoyed playing a character that has little
use/need to wear armor. I've found that not wearing heavy armor means
that a character can carry alot more other potentially more useful
stuff/junk, and that after a battle there is hardly anything that needs
repairing using those heavy armorer tools. And not wearing armor also
means that my current character can get dressed faster when she changes
from a Werewolf back into a Breton. Almost without exception, most
unique armor and even weapons my current character finds, is put on
display in one of her several private residences...
As for my next character, he/she may occasionally wear one or more of
the many nice helms in the game, as well as the Boots of Blinding Speed.
And he/she might even learn to use Long Blades and/or Blunt weapons,
however I doubt he/she will bother wearing much other armor items unless
it's required to complete a quest (I.E. Wraithguard which is required to
be worn prior to equipping Keening and Sunder).
That's my 2¢,
