I have an hp pro 3000 mt with a core 2 duo e8400, when i check intel ark, it said that the cpu support 64bit windows but when i check in system information it say that this is a x86 based pc, so can this pc get a 64bit windows 10 upgrade, i'm planing to install windows 10 64 bits soon but im so confused. Thanks

"when i check in system information it say that this is a x86 based PC"

Technically, all Intel processors are x86 based - even the 64 bit ones, so don't let that confuse you.

If it's a 64-bit processor (which it is) then you can run 64-bit Windows on it.

However, I advise you to first check that HP supports Windows 10 on that PC model (in other words, check that they have Windows 10 drivers for it).

Update: I just checked and it seems there are no drivers later than Windows 8, so it's going to have to be a case of "try it and see" - - install Windows 10 and hope it finds all the drivers itself.

I have 4gb installed and the system can use 3gb rn, but the problem is that in the system information, the pc said it is an x86 based pc, not x64 so I can’t tell if I can update or not
