Question about upgrading graphics

I bought a HP Pavilion p7-1235 and I want to upgrade the graphics, would there be any issues in adding a Radeon HD 7770 and a power supply to it? Would any other options provide a better bang for my buck?

Buying the 7770 and a new PSU shouldn't be an issue. The only problem that might arise is that HP will sometimes use larger than standard PSUs, so the PSU you buy might not fit the case properly. Generally you'll be able to get 2 screws in place, which isn't the safest thing in the world, but it does work if you don't move it around a ton. The 7770 is a great card for it's price.

Thanks for the information, that really helps. Do you think I should spend some time looking for a PSU that's the same size, or is it really not that big of a deal? I can't think of any reason why I'd be moving my computer around all that much.

Its a design by HP, you likely won't find any non HP PSUs of that size. And thats only if your PSU is one of the odd ones, many HP machines use normal sized PSUs. Over all though, even if it is a large one you should be able to get 2 screws in place.
