so i have an AMD 7850 graphics card with 2 mini display ports, 2 DVI ports and 1 HDMI

been living off one monitor for like 5 years now. i took for granted that i could just buy 2 more HDMI monitors and BOOM 3 monitors running at once lol i should have researched.

sad to see i have to have one in HDMI and one in DVI and one in display port.

luckly i had a couple HDMI to DVI adapter though so 2 screens running just fine. disappointed to see i couldnt do duel DVI ports since they are passives

here is the question though. i lack a mini display port to HDMI female adapters.
all the ones on newegg that are like 5 bucks and under that are actrually "active" say its for "macbook" now is that going to be an issue? they dont mention any PC or AMD compatibilities other than macbook lol

Solution
As with most products, there are cheap active adapters as well as more expensive ones.

But if you want it to do the job and not pack up after just a few days, it's often false economy to go for "cheap" (not to mention the annoyance & hassle).

In fact, some of the cheap adapters which claim to be active are, in fact, passive. Just a basic adapter. Another reason to avoid cheap.

For a third DVI/HDMI monitor on that graphics card you will need an active DP/mDP adapter adapter. Standard cheap adapters will not work. Any active adapter should work, they don't need to have special compatibility for PC or Mac.

correct me if im wrong though. i would hate to buy the wrong one haha

You can try it if you want but the adapter industry in general is plagued with fake products so I wouldn't have much confidence in anything under the $15-20 range.
