Hey, first time on this forum so sorry if I muddled something up; I ordered a VR Headset from one coast of the US, and I live on the other. I'm a little anxious waiting for it and was curious what the difference between "Package received by carrier" which I got learned about 6 hours ago, and an update I got 20 minutes ago saying "Package arrived at a carrier facility ".
I'm guessing that the first message was about Amazon handing the package off to a shipping company (FedEx, USPS, UPS, etc.) and the second message is letting me know that the truck/van that had gone for pickup has retrieved the item I'm buying to their HQ?

Solution
It means: "It is in transit"
It may be moving between different carriers, or multiple locations of the same carrier.

It will get to you when it gets there.

I bought something last week. Due to corona, not scheduled to arrive until Apr 20 - May 1.
Then, Apr 20.
It arrived today, the 13th.
