Hi folks,

I got a question regarding WebRTC and VPN on an Android box.

If I install an app such an IPTV service on my Android box, can that IPTV app be subject to WebRTC leaks or are WebRTC leaks specific to internet browsers only?

My knowledge about WebRTC is very limited hence I am asking.

You can't get WebRTC leaks on an android IPTV app, only on Internet browsers. If you want to prevent such leaks on browsers, use VPNs like NordVPN, StrongVPN, Surfshark VPN etc. and always check ipleak.net for possible leaks before connecting to any browser. Better safe than sorry.

Thank you for the reply. So WebRTC leaks are limited to internet browsers, got it. Is a VPN service sufficient for an Android box that runs IPTV? Are there any other leaks I am subject to - using an android box with a vpn service installed - which I should be concerned about? I am currently looking into Mullvad and they say that they got WebRTC and DNS leaks covered.
