[SOLVED] Question about Windows

Hi,so my brother just bought i7 3770,to upgrade from a i3 3220.I know a Windows reinstall isnt required,but he says he has a lot of "junk" on it and he just wants a new start.So does he reinstall windows with i3 3220 right before he puts the i7 in or he just swaps the cpu for i7,boots with i7 and reinstalls windows?

It doesn't much matter.
Just make sure the BIOS is correct for the i7 IF it needs to be upgraded from the BIOS for the i3.
I don't know if it does. I'm just mentioning it.

i recently posted a thread about this mobo supporting i7 3770 and people said it does,without bios update

Don't know.
Lenovo makes it difficult to determine what BIOS goes with what CPU.

Given the board is already running a 3rd gen cpu, you shouldn't need a bios update to support a different 3rd gen cpu
