At the railway bridge I make my way to the other side, hit the switch,
get back and driver over, but there is still a meeting train. Wasn't
the switch supposed to give the other train a red light, or what?

(did manage not to collide anyway, but 🙂

Yeah the switch is for the forcefield and as soon as you are part way across
, toot toot , here comes the train. My first go i went across the bridge
full speed and got a hell of a shock when i hit the train and a rather
spectacular death. Second time , as soon as the train apperaed i reversed
out the way let the train past and continued.

Ahh... Didn't check that first at all 🙂

OK, that works to then. I just pressed "Turbo mode" and aim for the
train, then threw the car to the left just before the crash and braked
all I could (there is a little space in between to crashed trains) 🙂

BTW: Funny force-fields, only stops persons, not dead objects 🙂

The first time I reversed when I heard the train coming and played it
safe, second time though I used the turbo button and played chicken
with the train, diving into the gap at the last moment.
It's a heck of alot more fun playing it that way. :)

I did that too..but I also tried a little "cheat". Park the car behind the
first train, then exit it...then run down the left hand side of the train.
This activtes the train coming in the other direction so you can return to
the car and drive down the track in perfect safety without having to put the
pedal to the metal.

LMAO I died the first time trying to outrun the train in reverse! I veered
to the left to slide in past the parked train to get out of the way but
accidentally bumped into the parked train and was SOL.

Second time I turned 'round facing backwards, and reversed on the bridge
until I heard the toot-toot warning, then floored it straight ahead to make
sure to get out of the way in plenty o' time.

Third time I played the game I just went forward until I heard the toot-toot
and then reversed a little more carefully....

yeah, after getting splatted this is how i played it, its probably the
intended way - but they probably never thought of the other ingenious
solutions :)
