hello
I will soon recieve a Sennheiser G4me Zero headset and I would like to know if I have to buy a soundcard for it, and if I am then which should I get?

I have a motherboard ASUS Z87 K
A friend have recommended Creative Sound Blaster Z 5.1
what do you think about his recommendation?

i would like to hear some opinions.
thank you all

thank you
are they all compatible with G4me Zero?

the question is, is the on board one good enough?

It's $415 dude he said low-priced 😀 ... but yeah you can still use the on board sound card

@mo7mod:
Those are low end cards. Better stick with the on-board card.
You will not really know the difference.

@AceFalcon:
Sound quality is a bit complex. The end amplifier and the driver (e.g. headphone) play the bigger role in soundquality from hardware point of view. Only high quality soundcards are equiped with such end-amplifier. The cheap ones do not have those.

well, as for gaming, what should i do then? I realy dont want to spend so much so I want the best result related to minimal investment, what do you suggest?

After check the headset it's actually stereo so it's not 5.1 or 7.1 just stick with the mobo card for gaming you'll feel any different (unless your mobo is very old) then any mid-end card will work :)

alright, thank you!
