Question: CPU/GPU temps

Was getting some screen flickering with my new rig and decided to check core temps. I was slightly concerned with the High temps on my graphics cards.

Are these acceptable temps at Idle?

Hmm they do seem a bit higher then I would have thought at idle, but then again it depends on what you were doing before you measured the temps. Also check to make sure that everything is pluged in properly even though everythings working doesn't mean somethings not pluged in rite

Sure, these are acceptable, but the temps under load are the important ones.

Im really curious why the secondary gpu is pushing out more heat than the first.

Seems strange that you CPU temps at idle and under stress are exactly the same. What are you using to read the temps, and what "stress" are you using?

I am using Everest Ultimate *trial. The Loads I am putting it under are Running Crysis at Full graphic settings and also cinebench. I spoke with saphire tech support and they stated that the second gpu should actually run cooler than the primary gpu because of less strain on it. When I told him my secondary was running hotter, he simply stated as long as it didnt hit 80 degree celcius it was okay. This still seems strange.

Nothing that concerns me head wise. I start to worry CPU > 63, GPU > 85.
Note the temps I listed are still *safe*, but where I start to worry abit.

Theres one simple way to know if something in your pc is too hot. If theres smoke coming out of the case you have yourself a big f***ing problem. lol
