Question Question Dump File Help - PC Shutting Off Randomly

This is a problem I've had for a few years now. My PC often just goes to black screen randomly, usually when watching video or playing games (almost always 2D games, or when FMV cutscenes happen in 3D games). When it goes black, the power light stays on but nothing happens, so I always have to use the button to restart. I think I verified that this isn't a PSU issue, because I'm running a brand-new one bought very recently.

PC Specs:
- Intel i5-11400F
- 32 GB RAM
- 1 Kingston NVMe 1TB SSD, 1 Samsung 870 SATA SSD
- ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge
- Corsair SF750 Platinum PSU

Can anybody help? Here are my two most recent dumps from the past two incidents. Thanks in advance!

For future reference please don't upload kernel dumps unless we ask for them. Most problems can be diagnosed with a minidump.

Both dumps are pretty much identical, they're both 0x116 VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE bugchecks. TDR is the Windows Timeout Detection and Recovery feature, it detects graphics hangs and attempts to recover by resetting the graphics card and the driver. If that fails to recover the graphics hang then you get this 0x116 BSOD.

We know then, that the problem is graphics related, it's either the graphics card or the graphics driver. You're not running the latest driver version, the driver you have is dated 11th April 2024...

    Information from resource tables:
Th Nvidia driver website has a more recent driver dated 27th June (556.12). In the first instance I suggest you install that driver. It might be wise to use DDU to remove all traces of earlier driver first.

If the latest driver BSODs with a 0x116 bugcheck then I might begin to suspect the card. Try removing and re-seating it, also check the power cable is properly connected both at the card and at the PSU.

Okay, noted on the minidump! I just downloaded the newest driver earlier, but I'll use DDU first then. Thank you!
