Hi everybody,
I got my sight on the Hitachi CML174.
I wish to connect two computers to the display, one by DVI and one by analog connection - alot of display (like the LG 1800P for one example) got a source selector... does the CML174 got one too?

Yes! In the onscreen menu...there is an item called: Auto Input and Select. There, you can choose between Analog and Digital when both are hooked up at the same time.

too bad... messing around with buttons is too slow.
i wish they had a one-touch switching function like other displays... but maybe its worth it if the display is that good.

Ohh my gosh, don't tell me your that lazy Gomez.. Haha, messing around with buttons is too slow, geeze Hitachi must feel so bad now that 2 seconds of effort must be put into setting up display changing for the lazy consumers. BBwwaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaaa.......

A little hyper are we today:) IMO, though the Hitachi is apparently good, better displays w/ better features (and better specs) will come out, so don't everyone buy it. If u are looking for a specific feature, wait a bit, and u'll get it.

YZFR1Guy, these 2 seconds and moving around buttons and switches really affects when you want to control 2 controls at the same time.
thats why most of the displays with both DVI and analog have a source-select button on the main control.
a display a/b switch adds alot of distortion to the analog video signal - so this is not an option too.
