Question for Cooler

my specs:

Motherboard M5A78L-M PLUS
AMD FX 6300
8GB RAM DDR3 1866 Mhz (2x4)
Radeon HD 6450

my question is that if it is necessary to put cooler to my processor since my graphic card is a bit old, so its necessary to put a cooler on it?

Yes you need a cooler on the processor, I'm surprised that you don't already have one though?

The videocard has nothing to do with it, your CPU needs a heatsink and fan.
