So this is the card I purchased GeForce® GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6G M# GV-N1060G1 GAMING-6GD Rev1. My question is about monitors supported. I was reading thru this http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5958#sp

and I see these specification>>>>> Dual-link DVI-D *1
HDMI-2.0b*1 (Max Resolution: 4096x2160 @60 Hz)

Display Port-1.4 *3 (Max Resolution: 7680x4320 @60 Hz)

What is the best monitor type for this GPU ? will GPU support ultra wide monitors, 144hz, or 27” monitors am I best to stay with a 24” 1080P 60hz?

The GTX 1060 is best used for 1080p/60 hz monitors, higher resolutions of course work, but performance will be limited by the GPU. 1080p and higher refresh rates will also work of course, but again the heavy games will not be able to be pushed to 144hz.

It will give you ~70-85fps on ultra settings @1080p
With a few tweaks in graphics settings you'll get 144fps, justifying a 144Hz 1080p screen

It should also manage 2560x1080 on high settings with 60+ fps

For 2560x1440 it's alright if you're doing nothing more than use your browser or watch a blue ray.
For gaming you'll need to cut back settings severely.

For 4k it will probably be alright for office work.

What's the purpose of the build?
What's your budget?
And what monitor size where you aiming at? 24'? 27'? 32'?

The build is for gaming and every day use, you tube. I would like a 24 or 27 inch. Budget $500.00 or so.

Well for 24'' I suggest taking a look at the Dell S2417DG. It's a 24'' screen with 2k resolution + g-sync for around 500.
Same as the new Acer XB241YU.

If going 24'' I wouldn't really spend money on a screen with only 1080p resolution in 2017 as 1080p is kinda last generation by now and I reckon the next GTX 1160 will handle 1440p with ease so spending money on a 1080p screen is kind of void - my personal opinion.
With a 24'' screen 1080p still looks good though and when/where your card can push more you can just switch to 1440p.

If you want a 27'' screen I'd strongly argue against 1080p anyway. Pixel density is just too low there
I'd invest in a G-Sync screen so that you can avoid too heavy stuttering at the resolution
