[SOLVED] Question HP Pavilion 22bw 21.5 Inch Monitor not getting power

Hi, I've been using my Pavilion 22bw monitor for around 6ish year now and recently it has stopped receiving power from the back. I know this because when I plug it in, the tiny light near the input turns on for a few seconds and then goes out. If I push the power input and wiggle it the light will occasionally turn on for a few moments before dimming and going off again. Before this issue, the monitors front buttons didn't really work (LED light were off, no responsiveness from buttons) so I had to unplug it and re plug it from the back to turn it on and off. The monitor also sometimes appeared to only show green and blue colors, but a quick restart would always fix this rare problem.

Does anyone know how to fix the power problem? I'm pretty sure that the issue isn't the power cord itself, but I could be wrong. Please let me know if I can provide any extra information. Thank you!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Seems like the monitor was telling you that it's wanting to retire. The problem is your power input which can and may very well be inside the bezel where the power is fed to the board in the panel. To rule out the power fed by the power brick being faulty, you could source another adapter and see if the power fed from said adapter resolves the issue but usually a panel that doesn't display the right colors at times...is a sign of it dying.
