So apparently my ISP gaved us a Fiberhome modem. which sucks Wifi/Wireless network keeps disconnecting often on phones, so my question is if i buy a Asus wireless router. can i ditch the
Fiberhome White Modem they gave us and use that ASUS instead to connect that thin fiber wire and stuff? or do i bridge them?

sorry i dont know much about networks

Solution
Only a handful of standalone wifi routers include SFP optical ports (some examples are Netgear's R8900 and R9000), and you wouldn't know for sure if those are compatible with the wavelengths FiberHome uses for Rx/Tx. But you could connect an Ethernet cable between the FiberHome device's LAN port and another router's WAN port instead.
