Hi all. I have a question on connecting the power cables at location CPU PWR 1 and CPU PWR 2. Connections are at at the top left corner of the motherboard. My new Corsair HX1000 had a power cable to fit the 8 pin PWR 1, no problemo. But I have nothing that will fit the 4 pin PWR 2 location. I looked on Amazon but didn't see anything that would fit. No 4 pin to 4 pin CPU cables at all. Is this connection on the motherboard "optional", or is there some special cable to work with it?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick update on my cable problem. I sent a question to MSI (their customer support is fantastic, had an answer in a couple of hours) concerning that 4-pin location on the motherboard and the problems I was having with it. Here is their reply:

"CSD 03/09/2022 02:59 PM PST Hello, it is a standard 4-pin CPU power connector. If you want to connect it, search for 4-pin CPU Power Cable on an e-retailer. There should be a connection on your PSU, too. CPU_PWR2 is never required, only when you start overclocking, etc"

So TECHNICALLY, if I wasn't going to overclock, I didn't need the connection. I really don't know how much overclocking I will do. Kinda depends on how my games perform on normal settings. I WAS able to find a connector that would fit my needs on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099X49KGX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Last night I got out my magnifying glass (I am an old fart with bad eyes, age 72) and I WAS finally able to see the "split" on the 8 pin-8pin connector cable I got from Corsair. So I can use that in the 4-pin slot. Thanks a ton for enlightening me about that. 👍😉

So I am in good shape cable-wise.
