We've been getting a lot digital drops and "smears" on Sling TV so I thought I run the Ookla speedtest on our Samsung UN55MU8000 55" telly. Connecting to their internet app I navigated to speedtest.net which wouldn't load. Hmm. So I jumped over to fast.com which loaded fine. Our ISP uses fibre door to door. Per fast.com, the telly was getting 56Mbps but on our desktop the speed was 700Mbps. Why the difference? The telly and desktop are both connected to our ethernet directly, no wi-fi.

Limitation of the CPU in the TV. It is not intended as a general processor.
