Question on PSU and gtx 970

I currently have this PSU http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-power-supply-rs500pcard3us

I was curious if it would run a gtx 970? Apparently gtx 970 minimum PSU requirement is 500 watts, which is what i have. Not sure about the amps and voltage, though, the PSU is a few years old, i really would rather not purchase a new one unless i absolutely have too.

What are the chances this PSU would be okay with a gtx 970?

I wouldn't recommend using that PSU with the GTX 970.

Here is one of the cheaper 970 (cheap in price good quality though) and a good PSU that will work well with it that isn't very expensive:

Especially given its age, I personally wouldn't take the risk.
