Hello,

I accidently plugged my PSU power cable into my "powered on" UPS unit with my PSU switch "ON". I understand a small 5V current would still be active after plugging this in. Could I damage any hardware components by plugging in with the PSU powered ON? Normally, I wouldn't do this but I forgot PSU was switched on. Thanks

It has no difference from plugging your PSU to the wall outlet.

If your PSU can handle a "power outage then the power suddenly comes back" scenario (which all PSU do ), it can handle your UPS being ON as well

The On/Off switch is there for your safety, otherwise the PSU doesn't care much about that switch

So even though I plugged in my PSU cable into a powered UPS unit with the PSU switch "on", it sounds like the PSU unit itself has protections that would result in no hardware component damage. So in this case, I am probably overly worried for nothing.
