Question on RAM

I currently have G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series (2x8) at 1600mhz and I want to get 2 more sticks of 8 GB, would it be okay if I got the same RAM but it is clocked at 1866mhz or would that not be efficient for an upgrade? Thank you

They are both the same brand and stick, just different speeds.

It's hit or miss. They might work, but no guarantee. I'd make sure that I can return them if not working.

Memory manufacturers guarantee memory in the form sold. Other combinations you decide to make have no guarantee to be compatible together. You can make any combinations you want and do your own compatibility testing with no guarantees.
