Question on Serial Number for ASUS Rog V Edition 10 MOBO

If my mobo box says the S/N is G8MCAJ0672 and ASUS Tech Support said my MOBO is damaged and the serial number they gave me is G8LCAJ0672 are these the same? I thought the MCA was newer than the LGA and they said they had the S/N on all the correspondence and there is no serial number on their emails. Just want to know if its the same board. Our board was not damaged when it was sent to ASUS Repair which they rec'd on the 7th of July. We just heard from them last night. I would like to know what may have happened to that board for the last 2 weeks. The only issue we had, was it would turn itself back on 10 seconds after shut down. It was only used 6 months.

Could have been an entry mistake, but those are two different SNs. I would ask for verification and a more detailed description of the "damage".

That seems to be an odd item for them to find. I guess the box could have been damaged in transit. Pretty sue you would have noticed.

Did you take any pictures of the mobo before shipping it? Also, how did you ship? Was it insured? Did Asus report any package damage?
