Hello dear community, this is my first post so please be gentle. If I am posting in the wrong board please let me know and / or move my post.
My problem is that my PC shuts down at random times while I play graphic intense games. I got most of my parts in 2013:
Mainboard: MSI P67A-GD53 (B3)
Processor: Intel Core i7 2600k 4x3.40 GHz
RAM: G.Skll 8GB KIT RipJaws-X PC3-12800U DDR3-1600 CL9
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA3 16MB 7200rpm
GPU: Gainward GeForce GTX 570 1280 MB Phantom
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power BQT L7-630W
--------------2015--------------
in 2015 my PSU died and I replaced it with a cheap one from our local tech-shop.
new PSU: Inter-Tech-SL-700-Netzteil-700W
https://www.amazon.de/Inter-Tech-SL-700-Netzteil-700W/dp/B002ZDQ87E
--------------2016--------------
then in 2016 my GPU died so I replaced it with a cheap one to wait for the new 10xx line from that I knew nvidia will release later in 2017 (now)
new PSU: Gigabyte GV-N730D5-2GI GeForce GT730
--------------2017--------------
After getting a job I added 8 GB of ram, same kind as before.
RAM: G.Skll 8GB KIT RipJaws-X PC3-12800U DDR3-1600 CL9 (16GB total now)
I also got a new GPU
new GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 AMP! Edition 8GB GDDR5
-------------THE PROBLEM----------
in 2015-16 before my GPU died I tried playing GTA5 which I think brought my GPU down to its knees.. I could play at about 30 fps on low settings and sometimes my PC would just shut down.
The event manager will just say "system was shutdown unexpectedly" - nothing more...
The same problems with ANNO 2205 which would shut down after playing for 20 minutes.
After my 570 died I stopped playing fancy games and went back to EVE ONLINE (medium settings) and World of Warcraft (medium settings) which worked well on the replacement Geforce 730.. Basicially my PC didn't shut off since the last time I tried playing ANNO 2205 in 2016.
today I got my new 1070 that I've been saving up for and after putting it in, reinstalling all the drivers (clean installation) I turned on WoW (because I had nothing else installed) and turned up the settings to ultra, with full anti-alising and what not... Teleported myself to Stormwind and my PC shut down. I am kind of disappointed by this whole thing. I thought the new generation of cards is supposed to use less power? At the same time I googled that PSU I have in now and it doesn't have the best reviews online...
-------------Questions----------
What do you think about my Problem?
What kind of PSU suits my setup in general now?
Is my PSU the problem?
Thank you so much in advance for reading my wall of text, I really do appreciate every single answer.
Yours Embra
