Question regarding Noctua NH-D14

Recently my h80i has packed up and i have had nothing but trouble since getting it, I've read that the Noctua NH-D14 out performs the h80i so i was thinking about getting one.

I wanted to make sure it would fit my Case and Mobo before I buy it, my motherboard is this one http://www.msi.com/product/mb/FM2-A55M-E33.html#hero-overview

And my case is this one

Also does this fit FM2 systems yes?

I'm guessing that if a h80i will fit in my case then this probably will, but just wanted to be 100% sure before i purchased one.

I would look into a cryorig H7. It is a nice cooler for the money, and it performs a little bit less then the h80i, but it has a lot of handy features in case you get stuck when putting it on.

It does fit FM2

Are you sure? I just found this on the noctua site

Edit: Also says it supports it here http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=produkte&lng=en so I guess I will be fine if the h80i fits in my case?

I also took the side fans off so the h80i radiator would fit, so I have a bit of extra height.

OP, I personally think the H80i would definitely fit, especially since you have removed the side fans.

The NH-D14 is 160 mm tall. If your case has a rear 120 mm or 140 mm fan the NH-D14 should fit. But I would just Google "NH-D14, and whatever case you have and I am sure you will come up with first hand info.

Ehh, I can't find the total allowed cooler clearance on the case. I wouldn't risk it. Do you HAVE to have the d14?

The Cryorig h7 is also a good option. You should be able to OC the CPU too.

Here are the dimensions of the D15. Noctu tray beneath the motherboard to the side of the case. The 15 mm is to allow for the height of the standoffs, the thickness of the MB, and the height of the CPU top above the MB. Your case has an external dimesion of 185 mm. I doubt very much that the D15 will fit.

I saw one Q&A on amazon that said a 212 EVO (159mm) just barely fit without touching the window. This would mean that a Noctua NH-U12S would fit (158mm) and a NH-U14S might fit (160mm).
