Question regarding overclocked E6600 temperatures

I've just overclocked my E6600 to 1500MHz (QDR), which is 3.3GHz. However, despite using a water cooled system, my idle temps are around 32 to 34C (for each core), and heavy load temps under Prime95 (2 instances in Torture Mode) is around 52 to 54C (for each core).

Are these normal temperatures for a water cooled E6600 at 3.3GHz? I'm might be a noob at overclocking, but I know enough to think it should be lower... I am using a radiator with three 125mm fans, so shouldn't I be getting lower temps?

Also, I found when running 2 instances of Prime95 in Torture Test that I can't click anything else on the screen. The tests keep on going successfully, but I can't navigate/access anything because my computer is lagged. After 5 minutes if I hit ESC to stop the Prime95 tests, nothing happens because of the lag. Is this normal?

What kind of water cooling system do you have? Is it a custom job? A kit?

Those are pretty good temps for an E6600 at 3.3ghz.

It's a custom kit done by a friend. It's mostly DangerDen stuff. The CPU waterblock is a DangerDen, and pump and GPU blocks. The radiator is HUGE, and takes up 7 or 8 front slots in the case, and he's attached six 120mm (not 125mm as I stated above) Thermaltake fans (3 on the front, and 3 on the back) to it for maximum cooling, but I'm not sure whather the radiator itself is from Thermaltake or DangerDen. We're also using 1/2" inch tubing. That's pretty much all I know about the cooling since he's the one who installed it for me. I can get more details now if you need.

As to your 1st question about temperature; the answer is "it depends on what your ambient temperature is." To determine whether your water cooling system is working well it is necessary to know what the air temperature is that the radiator is surrounded by. If your air temperature is 28C, then your water cooling system is doing ok; and your room is warm.
As to your second question regarding Prime95 and your inability to do anything else; that is not normal. I can run Prime95 on both cores of my e6600 and still do other things without lagging.
