Question Question regarding PSU

Hi there I am putting together a bit of an old system and was just wondering if the 550W power supply I am purchasing will be enough to power it. The GPU officially states that it needs 600w, 42a on a 12v rail but I have read multiple posts saying it will never draw this much power and that it is an overstatement etc.

My pc specs:

-Intel Core I7-3770 @ 3.4Ghz

-2x 8gb Ripjaw DDR3 1866Mhz
1x 120GB SSD
1x 500GB SSD
1x ODD
1x 140mm fan
3x 120mm fan
3x 80mm fan

This shows you need 500 watts.

I like to get 750/850 watt power supplies, just for future upgrades. A good power supply can easily make it though a couple of system builds.

That is my .02 cents.

I really like the HXI or P2's. I have built quite a few with them and never had one issue.

Not a very good psu but sufficient for your system.

A high-end 750/850w is more expensive than the system is worth. Your choice.
