Hi guys I have two questions.
1) If I upgrade to an SSD can I keep my old files like windows, games, and etc?
2) Would upgrading to an SSD help load characters faster in my games?

Thank you all in advance.

Solution
Hi Javabava,

1) Yes. Two common ways to do this are to backup the data to an external drive and copy it back over, or directly clone your current drive to the SSD.

2) SSD's will help games with things like level load times, but for the most part they don't greatly affect gameplay, that's mostly on the CPU and GPU.
If the game is taking a while to read the files, then yes it will load faster. You can always install the SSD along side an HDD (in a desktop PC) and keep both. Use the SSD as a storage drive isn't optimal but you can put the OS on the SSD and then leave the HDD alone and access the files off it (or wipe it and start over after transferring the files to the SSD). There's a few ways you could potentially god about it.

I have an AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight core processor 4.0 ghz and an HIS r9 280. Could one of them be the reason characters load slowly?
