question regarding VNC

So I downloaded realVNC, but it says I have to connect to a server, that means I have to download realVNC server onto the machine I want to connect to, right? Also on my ArchLinux desktop I have Remmina so does that mean I cause RDP or VNC to connect to it? and I can Remmina to connect to any computer that has realVNC installed?

On Linux machines you will need to run a VNC server; on Windows machines just enable Remote Desktop (or you could install a VNC server). You will then be able to connect remotely using the Remmina client.
