Question regarding wiring for GB B150M DS3H Motherboard with NZXT S340 case

I'm new to PC building, and so far everything went fairly smoothly, until I had trouble connecting the NZXT's HD Audio wire to the Motherboard's "F_Audio".

The NZXT's wire seems to line up with the F_Audio pins, but only when I invert it, and it doesn't fit all the way in. Is it OK if it doesn't go all the way in? There is also an arrow to the left when the connector is facing upright. Does that mean I can't invert it?

It can only go on one way as one pin position is solid with no hole.

I put it in the only way I could, but it doesn't fit in all the way. Does that matter?

You probably have solved this by now but just in case and for others in the future. I had the same issue. I firmly (yet gently) rocked it back and forth and it did slide firmly into place.
