Hi, i would like to know whether my motherboard dh55tc supports nvidia gtx 770 graphics card or anyother higher gpu graphics card.. my processor is intel i5 750.

You can definately try the gpu without updating the bios.
Updating the bios is mainly a precautionary measure and would be my first step shoud anything go wrong.

As long as you get a quality psu, 600 watts is the minimum for that card, so it should work.

As said above, make sure your case can accommodate the gpu. What case is it?

I'm using old case, ATX.
Motherboard and processor i bought them used on eBay, i don't think i will need to upgrade.
Just out of curiosity, do you think it's better to buy a gtx 660 to avoid problems?

I was wondering why they told me that the 660 works best with the CPU i purchased. instead the 770 could give me some problems with gaming and the PC itself, as the graphics card would make calculations faster than the CPU and slow downs would follow. Is that so? Or can i buy the 770?

Thanks for your time
