hello friends, so im wondering if you (some one) can explain something to me that is buging me like forever, i have a CX600M and a UPS os 300W max, im wondering if i pull more than 300W from that UPS will harm o damage, or maybe just make my PSU not to responde acconrding ?

Solution
There are apparently some PSU's that will not work with lower powered UPS's but I don't know any specific cases, and if it's running off utility power it shouldn't matter. In any case, I don't really see the point in running a 600w PSU through a 300w UPS as it's not going to work if the power switches which is the whole point of a UPS.

If you're buying a UPS you also need to look at the VA and think about the other stuff you runoff it. For your rig, for it to work properly, you would want 600W/1000VA as a minimum I would think, maybe more depending on your monitor.
im asking 'coz a month ago i had a Thermalthake TR2 600W 2 12v rails 24amp and 36amp, now im using CX600M and when i try to Run MSI Combuctor at Extreme, the PSU shut off ... i did't exp this in gaming

so i should what ? buy a 600W UPS ?? the 300W specs is only using Batteries, im talking about using it in normal states with power cord connected to the wall ...

i mainly use it for power cuts, blackouts and such things, my question is, in a normal escenario, this will affect me ? mi psu wont deliver more than 300W ???

If your computer is under load when the power switches, the PC will turn off. It will only stay on when it is drawing under 300w. Assuming your monitor is plugged in, it probably leaves about 250w max and possibly less as i've seen monitors that run up over 170w, so it's pretty likely that it's just going to shut off your computer.
