Hi Everyone, i have a A10-5800K APU (Outdated and sucks) i know 😀 but i was wondering what software i should believe on being more accurate. i have linked a image showing the two and they are MSI's OneClick bios software (i have an MSI board) or HWMonitor. Because i have read online that the 5800K APUs temps in things like HWMonitor are not accurate.

Link Showing Both Softwares : http://s23.postimg.org/we1oagnzf/Untitled.png

As you can see HWMonitor says my CPU is really hot and MSI's OneClick bios software is saying its cool

The clock shown in the screenshot is 3.8GHz (Not overclocked) but running stress test
MSI software shows 36 degrees and HWMonitor shows 65.
The cooler i am using is the corsair h100i

try openhardwaremonitor. and add the min column to it, because that will tell you whats working.

Get a min temp before you start a stress test, say it's 25c, then stress test up to 50 or 60, then drops back down, then you know it's working fine.

I'd say the MSI seems wrong though,

Or install Catalyst software from AMD. They show the thermal margin in there, but at least it's from AMD.

I've found the APU's that I've built in the past, temp monitoring on them is hit and miss. BIOS never lies, but by the time you stress test, reboot, and get into the BIOS it's 10-15c cooler already. lol.

I will start using the MSI software because AIDA64 Trail is showing the same temp as it.
Thankyou for your help 😀

I shouldnt have really said it was under full load. it was but i had only been running heavyload for about 5-10 mins before the screenshot

indeed it was kind of stupid of me not to say that it was only running about 5-10 mins within the original post 😀
