what dose this mean Some Intel C236 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions

Solution
The c236 chipset supports Skylake processors natively. Skylake is one generation older than Kabylake. It can run Kabylake with a BIOS update as they have the same Socket type LGA1151, but you need a Skylake cpu to upgrade the BIOS before it can work with a Kabylake cpu.
Having said that, some of the recent batches of those older motherboards do come along with the BIOS updated. But its not guaranteed and you might need to get in touch with the vendor in order to ascertain that.
