Hello,

I bought a computer about a year ago and i was wondering if i could take the pre-installed copy of win 7 and put it on a disc so i can install it on another hdd, i have the product key also.

OEM is only good on 1 computer.

does that mean i cant move it to another hdd in my computer

Same computer is fine,you just can't put it on a new motherboard.

sorry, i meant to say that if i buy an SSD, how would i get windows on it without buying windows on a disc. Is there not a way i can migrate it from my hdd to an SSD

You can but clean install with just the SSD attached is the way to go.

Do you have a genuine key and what version of 7 do you own.
