I am working on a checklist for myself. Oh, how often I get killed just
because I have forgotten about that wand or potion or god or whatever. So I
am making a list of all the lifesaving actions that one can undertake in
case of an emergency.

Now my question: Is posting that list here a good idea? Would it be well
recieved? Was this done before?

I can't conceive of a reasonable objection to such a list as long as the
post has spoiler space.

I'm not aware of any such list having been done already. This might be
because there is a big problem: lifesaving methods are highly
circumstantial. For example, certain wands or spells are useful in some
situations, but utterly useless in others. What can save a life in one game
can be one's undoing in another. In order to make a useful list, you would
have to cover every possible circumstance, which, to say the least, is a
formidable task.

Another problem is that just about anything can save your life if used
properly or creatively in particular situations. Everything from gods to
potions to maces to plain blankets to doors to, hell, hostile monsters can
save your life if they're used in the right way. It's far too broad a
categorization.

Of course, if you're up to the task, go ahead. 😉

Sensible enough.

I cannot see how it would be a bad one.

It's come up in discussion before, and would likely spark some
discussion again. People may disagree on the usefulness of some of the
steps, but this is not to my mind a bad reception.

(Put another way: I doubt anyone will snap at you for posting it.)
