Just got a gigabyte 7970 and not positive my psu is good enough. Its 500 watt evga w1 which is about the cheapest one i could find at the time. I have a g3258 oced to 4.0ghz at 1.25v(very disappointed there) soon to be 2 250gb samsung evo ssd's, 3x 4gb sticks of ram, i know everyone says a quality 500w will work just not sure about my cheapo. I will be getting an evga g2 650 soon but im dangerously low on disc space so i want to get that 2nd ssd with my next check. What would you guys do if you were in my position. And one more thing, down the road ill be getting an i7 4790k and 980 ti, the 650w evga g2 would be a solid choice for that right? Thanks on advance

I would get the new ssd first, and then worry about the psu. I always get a psu that has more power than I need incase I want to sli or overclock in the future I won't need an entirely new power supply, unless you're on a tight budget. The 650w evga g2 should be fine for what you plan to do in the future.

Cool thats what i was wantin to do itll only be a couple weeks til i can get the psu anyway so i hope any potential problems wont arise that quickly if any were to.
