I have been thinking for months on end about PC gaming and it's worth, here's what you need to know:
I have been gaming a long time and I game a lot, I am a console gamer (xbox 360 predominantly) (I don't have a PC but I've been educating myself on all the parts) and my friend has a gaming PC with an intel core i5 4690 and a nvidia gtx 660. He has an SSD and the computer is really fast I've noticed. But I'm planning to get a gtx 960 and I've heard that the 660 is slightly more powerful than the PS4's GPU which is really disappointing considering that thing costs well over $100 whereas buying a PS4 with all neccessary parts including GPU is only $500, that's really cheap for what the specs offer.
My build comes to a total of $2000, now for starters don't give me that BS how you can build a $500 gaming rig that outperforms the consoles because that simply isn't true. Now what I'm thinking now is: is it worth it to drop in $2000 for a gaming rig that's not 4 times more powerful than the xbox one or PS4 when I could just buy them for the cheap $500?
Unless there's something I'm missing out on here, PC gaming just doesn't seem like a wise investment and I really question whether or not it is worth my time and money to join the PC master race community.
