Hey folks,
I'm planning on building a budget system to hold over until DDR4 phases in and I've pretty much settled on a combo of the i5-4570 and gtx 770. The problem is it's been almost 7 years since my last build and I have some questions about current motherboards.
I know I don't need anything over a H87 since I'm not overclocking and don't plan on SLI with this build. However, high quality audio is important because I tend to use only premium headphones. I've always been a Gigabyte fan because their boards are rock solid but their H87 board isn't very exciting. The same can be said about the Asus H87. Neither offer much in terms of audio.
So I started looking at some of the cheaper Z87 boards with upgraded audio. I've never used an MSI board before and honestly never even heard of Asrock since the last time I built. How are these boards in terms of build quality and reliability?
