Could someone explain the differences between Quad Cores, Dual Cores, etc...? For example, what is the difference between a 1.5GHz Quad Core vs a 2.5GHz Dual Core?

Or even a 2.5GHz Dual Core vs a 2.5GHz Single Core.

A quad core has 4 physical core as a dual core has 2 physical cores and so on. And the quad core will typically be better.

I did a quick google search that should give you a basic understanding. I'd honestly say, just look around the interwebs to get more information. (im too tired and lazy to write out my knowledge)
