So I bought a 256GB Samsung PRO and want to know how exactly I go about moving my windows to the ssd? I want to keep all of my games and stuff but just want to move windows to the SSD. Am I capable of installing windows on the SSD and unplugging my HDD, then plugging back in my HDD and delete all of windows files?

Solution
2 options: Clean install on the SSD, or clone from the old drive to the new SSD.

1. Clean install. Recommended. Assuming you have the install media and license key.
Also, all your applications will need to be reinstalled.
Always works.

2. Clone This requires that the total used space on your current C partition be significantly smaller than the new SSD.
Usually works.

If you're doing a clean install of the OS, do it with only the SSD connected.
After it is all running, reconnect the HDD and wipe it.
